OUR STORIES IN PARALLEL: An Intergenerational Oral History Project | Reserved for AAPI-identifying individuals
Date: May 19th, 8-9pm
Location: Zoom (register to receive the link)
As we’ve come together as aapiNHV, we have grasped for our collective history and our growing interest in the question: what is our shared history in New Haven? What brought us together here and now? Our search for AAPI community history in New Haven has turned up limited fruit, which gets us thinking that the silence of the archives speak volumes of our collective histories. We invite everyone to participate in forming a public oral history community archive that bridges the gaps of the past and into the future as we continue to co-create our history in New Haven.

HISTORIES AND STORIES: A Community Gathering and Sharing Event | Reserved for AAPI-identifying individuals
Date: Sunday, June 5th, Doors open at 12:45, program starts at 1pm
Location: September in Bangkok (754 State Street, New Haven, CT)

There is not a single, unified AAPI story: we are a community known for its fragmentation and its complexity in history. For AAPI Heritage Month, we want to create a space that celebrate our diversity and multitudes, and to bring more people into our burgeoning movement. Join us for a storytelling event to learn about AAPI history, share and hear stories from each other and eat delicious food together!
