advocating for strong small business owner relationships

Purpose: To develop close relationships with Asian-owned small business owners in the New Haven area to advocate collectively, to create connectivity, to increase access to supports that are not easily accessible, and to create culturally adapted resources.

learning and teaching together

Purpose: To plug into existing efforts in education advocacy in order to fill gaps in our own personal understanding, to understanding our histories, and to share our stories with others.

building a sense of shared identity

Purpose: To build a sense of shared identity among people of Asian heritage throughout the New Haven area through story, special events, and gatherings.

amplifying issues facing our communities

Purpose: To identify critical issues in to order to advocate and amplify issues that are facing our communities, and to work in solidarity with other communities of color.

embracing creative approaches

Purpose: To support young creatives in order to amplify their talents and voices, as well as highlight New Haven arts performances, exhibitions, or programs with Asian and Asian American artists or intersectional themes. In addition, to embrace creative approaches to the values of this collective.
